Draft my performance self-review

The review form is open, the deadline is Friday, and your memory of March is gone.

Draft my self-review from the raw notes below.

1. Group my work into three or four themes rather than a chronological list.
2. For each theme: what I did, the outcome, and who it affected. Outcomes only from my notes.
3. Write an honest section on what did not go well, in the form of what I learned and changed, not self-flagellation and not a hidden brag.
4. Add a short section on what I want next, tied to work I have already started.
5. Mark any claim you think a manager would push back on, and say what evidence would strengthen it.

Keep it factual. Do not add superlatives, and do not describe routine work as transformative.

Review period and notes:

Making it yours

  • Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
  • Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
  • If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.

Raises and moves. Promotion cases, reviews, offers, hard conversations and deciding whether to leave.
