Rewrite this for a different audience

The same message needs to go to your team and to a customer.

Rewrite the text below for a new audience.

Current audience:
New audience:
Desired tone (pick or describe): warm, neutral, formal, direct, apologetic, confident

Adjust:
- Vocabulary and assumed background knowledge
- How much context is given before the point
- Directness: how early the ask or bad news appears
- Length, if the new audience has less patience

Keep the substance identical. Do not soften a fact into vagueness to hit a tone. After the rewrite, list the three changes that matter most and say what each one is doing.

Text:

Making it yours

  • Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
  • Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
  • If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.

Tone and audience. Making the same message land right for a different reader, and checking how it reads.
