Cook this with fewer pans
The recipe uses four pans, a bowl, and a sieve, and you are cooking alone on a weeknight.
Rewrite the recipe below to use as little equipment as possible. 1. List every pan, bowl, board, and utensil the recipe currently needs. 2. Combine what can be combined: cook components in sequence in the same pan, mix dry into wet rather than using a second bowl, roast on one tray in stages by staggering what goes on when. 3. Give me the rewritten method with the new equipment count stated at the top. 4. Say explicitly what quality I lose with each merge. If browning suffers because the pan is crowded, tell me, and let me decide. 5. Name any step where the shortcut is genuinely a bad idea and should stay separate. If the recipe is already efficient, say so and stop rather than inventing changes. Recipe: Equipment I have: How much I mind about the result versus the washing up:
Making it yours
- Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
- Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
- If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.
Adapting a recipe. Scaling, converting units, cutting the cost, the pans, the time, or an ingredient someone cannot eat.
