A trip that works for both of us
Travelling with someone who wants a completely different holiday from you.
I am travelling with someone whose idea of a good trip differs from mine. Help me design something that neither of us is quietly enduring. 1. Name the actual conflict underneath our preferences, for example pace versus depth, planning versus spontaneity, spending versus saving. 2. Find the overlap first. What would we both genuinely enjoy? Start the plan there. 3. Build in deliberate separate time, and make it feel normal rather than like a failure. Say when in the day it fits best. 4. For each person, identify the one non-negotiable that must appear in the trip, and protect it. 5. Tell me which compromises are likely to cause friction on day three, and how to pre-agree them now. Making it yours
