Name this thing in the interface

Naming a feature, tab, or object that users will have to learn and repeat.

Help me name something users will see and say out loud.

Give me:
1. Five candidate names, each with the mental model it implies.
2. For each: how it pluralises, how it reads in a button, how it reads in an empty state, and whether it verbs naturally.
3. Collisions: does this word already mean something else in our product, in competitors, or in general technical vocabulary?
4. The failure mode of each name once the feature grows past its first version.
5. A recommendation with one runner-up.

Avoid names that describe our implementation. Avoid invented words unless the concept genuinely has no existing name, and say clearly if you think that is the case here.

What it is:
Who uses it:

Making it yours

  • Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
  • Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
  • If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.

Interface copy. Every word inside the product: button labels, error messages, empty states and what things are called.
