Summarise a long transcript without losing the point

A 90-minute recording you need to digest in five.

Longtranscriptsummary
Summarise the transcript below.

1. **The headline**: the single most important outcome, in one sentence at the top.
2. **Decisions**, each with the reasoning given at the time.
3. **Disagreements**, including any that were left unresolved. Say who held which view. Do not smooth these into consensus.
4. **Actions**, with owner and date, marking anything unclear.
5. **Notable quotes**, only where the exact wording matters.
6. **What changed during the conversation**: any position someone shifted on, which is usually the most informative part.

Attribute views to speakers by name. Stay faithful to what was said and do not add conclusions that were not reached. Say plainly if the transcript is too fragmentary in places.

Making it yours

  • Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
  • Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
  • If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.

Summaries and transcripts. Long recordings and calls compressed down, including what a flat summary would hide.
