Normalise these company names
A list to import where the same company appears as four different strings.
Normalise the company names below. Strip legal suffixes into a separate column rather than deleting them, fix casing, standardise ampersands and punctuation, and trim stray whitespace. Return a table: original, normalised name, suffix, and a flag where you are unsure. Never guess at an expansion of an abbreviation you do not recognise โ flag it instead. Names:
Making it yours
- Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
- Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
- If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.
Data hygiene. Duplicates, inconsistent fields, messy imports, and records that technically exist but say nothing.
