What could kill this deal

Before a forecast call, on the deal you keep saying is fine.

Read this deal record and argue that it will not close.

Make the strongest honest case against it, using only what is in the record. Look for: a single point of contact, no executive sponsor, no confirmed budget, a compelling event we invented rather than they stated, procurement or legal not yet involved, and a close date that fits our quarter rather than their timeline.

Then list what would have to be true for it to close on time, and which of those you can verify this week.

If the record genuinely supports the forecast, say so plainly rather than manufacturing concerns.

Deal:

Making it yours

  • Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
  • Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
  • If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.

Pipeline and deals. Working out which deals are real, what is actually blocking them, and what to do next week.
