Write stage definitions people will actually follow

When two reps put the same deal in different stages and the forecast is meaningless as a result.

Write stage definitions for the sales pipeline below.

Each stage needs:
- Entry criteria: the specific, observable thing that must be true. Not "prospect is interested".
- Exit criteria: what must exist before it moves on โ€” a document, a named person, a confirmed budget.
- Who can move it, and what evidence has to be in the record.
- A typical duration, so anything sitting past that is visibly stuck.

Write them so two people looking at the same deal would put it in the same stage. Where the current stage names are vague or overlapping, say so and propose better ones.

Stages:

Making it yours

  • Paste your own material where the prompt asks for it. Everything above that line is instruction, not content.
  • Delete any rule that does not apply to you. A shorter prompt that fits beats a thorough one that does not.
  • If the answer comes back vague, add a line saying what you do not want. Constraints work better than encouragement.

Pipeline and deals. Working out which deals are real, what is actually blocking them, and what to do next week.
